This piece features the wheat fields of Spain. I was born in Spain and I remember as a child walking through wheat (trigo) fields just like this one where you can often find poppies (amapolas) growing wild. This painting has beautiful color, gorgeous blending and contrast. This is a striking painting, a conversation piece for sure.
The sky fascinates me, especially a stormy sky. The sky at sunrise and sunset is magnificent and I often find myself in awe when I see the beauty of nature. This painting is striking at any viewing angle. The colors are exquisite and the painting has just the right amount of detail to give the viewer a sense of distance. This piece is painted around the edges, there is no need for a frame on this 30x40x1.5
There is something about abandoned barns that makes them picture perfect. This particular made it more appealing by the winter trees. It is located in North Texas and was inspired from a photo taken by Debi Snider.

A magnificent piece with the look and feel of the old masters. A shadowy and enchanted forest where the light awaits. A trip to grandmas house if you will. I am partial to darker paintings where the light is the subject matter.
While visiting in Jasper, Georgia I came across a beautiful little waterfall located in the Ben Tree community. As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to paint it. Located in a secluded area, the community has put a bench where those visiting can sit and enjoy the peace that is there. This painting is from that vantage point.
Sweet Memories ... for the kids who grew up climbing her, the sweethearts who shared their first kiss on a picnic blanket in her shade, the grandma who tells her grandkids of the time grandpa asked her to marry him under her canopy of shade; the tree herself remembering all the people she brought joy to.
There is always a tree, a bush or other plants that seem to be hanging somehow while the earth around them seem to erode. On this painting, I wanted to illustrate this by showing the tree rooted into a falling hill. This watercolor is rich in texture and the decaying hill is very detailed. Created with watercolor and acrylic ink.
